Experience an exciting day below the surface. There is a whole world to be fascinated by. We move through a landscape historically populated by fishermen and sailors.
Verke is a beautiful creek that during its 50 kilometer reach towards the ocean falls 180 meter. The highest waterfall of Skåne - Hallamölla - is found here, measuring 23 meters in total drop (spread in several legs). Compared to other creeks, Verke is very little affected by pollution. It bubbles with life and there are plenty of marine migratory trout, pike, eel, perch, bullhead, brook lamprey and birds that thrive along the streaming water of the creek.
An exciting day awaits below the surface. All participants are given a mask, snorkel, flippers and a thick wetsuit to keep the cold away. We move along the creek at slow speed to enjoy the sightings of fish and beautiful nature. If we keep our eyes open and alert we might find remainings from one of the old settlements of the area. Among previous findings there are Roman coins, ancient bowls and Fishing gear.
Start Brösarps Gästgifveri, finish Bengtemölla.
